The Secrets to Motivating Your Team: Here's How

If you’re like most leaders I meet, you probably struggle to motivate your team members. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
In my work with countless leaders over the past two decades, I’ve identified three common types of leaders:
1. The Pleaser: Always striving to make everyone happy, often driven by the fear of not being liked or, even worse, the fear of losing your job if you say no to the boss. This path inevitably leads to burnout and a lack of fulfillment.
2. The Perfectionist: Oftentimes driven by the fear of not being good enough. The relentless pressure to be perfect prevents you from seeing the bigger picture, innovating, and truly motivating your team.
3. Legacy Builders: Combining empathy with assertiveness, these leaders inspire their teams, foster collaboration, and drive innovation. They are recognised as go-to leaders in they fields.
Motivating your team and becoming a Legacy Builder may sound too good to be true, but I’ve been helping leaders reach this level for over a decade. Being part of the right communities, where it’s safe to share challenges, is crucial for your growth and success.
